Carmen Rizzo is a two-time Grammy nominee, producer, mixer, programmer, DJ, remixer and recording artist based in Los Angeles.
He has worked with Seal, Coldplay, Paul Oakenfold, Alanis Morissette, Dido, Jem, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Khaled, Tiesto, BT, Esthero, A.R. Rahman, Pete Townshend and many more. Rizzo’s own music has appeared in movies and TV shows including CSI Miami and True Blood.
In 2005 he co-founded acclaimed world music trio Niyaz, pioneering a unique blend of traditional world music and modern electronic music. He left the group to focus on other pursuits in 2013. Following the completion of his EP Illumanado album, he continued to work on several remixes and original productions, including the Buryatia sessions-EP and Kate Havnevik’s “Glow.” Most recently Rizzo has done production, engineering, and mixing on tracks for artist Aurelia Bliss.
I designed two album covers:
- Carmen Rizzo’s Romancia EP was released in September 2013.
- I also did the cover for Carmen Rizzo’s Fotobook Mix Tape available with The Space Left Behind photo book (2012). The book is a documented journey depicted in photographs that Carmen took all over the world. This album offers a personal reflection of life, death and the passage of time, inspired by the loss of my parents in 2011. The book includes a physical CD of the album and a digital link to this exclusive mix.
